Our bodies are sacred, and also sometimes our bodies are difficult to exist in. The world is not made for all of our bodies. But those of us who were born “able-bodied” are really only temporarily able-bodied; at some point, all of us find ourselves grateful for ramps, hearing aids, large print, and audio assistance. Innovations for people with disabilities make the world more convenient and accessible for all of us, such as subtitles, curb cuts, and elevators. Justice for people with disabilities is justice for all of us.
