How do we serve in relationship to each other, and to God? Rev. Godette will focus on text from Ephesians 4: 2-3; “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Rev. Gerald Godette is ordained by the AME Zion Church, and serves 2 congregations in Aurora, NC. He is a Carteret County native, living in Morehead City with his wife Lynn. They have 3 grown children. Rev. Godette has long been active in the community, serving on the Morehead City Planning Board, The Carteret Community Theater, and the Rotary Club. He ran for County Commissioner in 2018, and currently serves on the Carteret County Board of Elections. Rev. Godette graduated from NC A & T University, works in marine research for Alderon Biosciences in Beaufort, and he is deeply interested in environmental issues locally and worldwide. Rev. Godette gave us a message last year about the intersection of science and faith, well received by the congregation. Rev. Godette is a member of the AAHECS (African American Historical Educational Cultural Society), is Vice President of the Carteret County unit of the NAACP and has served as Choir Director and song writer.
