UCF is resuming its annual participation in the Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration at the Civic Center on January 16th. As we have for many years, we will help to prepare the lunch for approximately 300 guests who attend. There is no cooking involved – just arranging the food on the plates. After the plates are ready, we will be able to attend the ceremony and hear the speakers.

Sharon Harker, Mayor of Beaufort is the keynote speaker this year. After the ceremony, the Boys and Girls Club will serve lunch (with our help). Both the lunch preparations and the celebration itself are fun and rewarding. The event starts at 11:00 AM but we have been asked to arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 AM.
