On Sunday, February 22nd, the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship held a New Member Ceremony during the Sunday Service. We are thrilled that 18 new members joined our church that morning. The ceremony was a joyous one as new members and the rest of the congregation covenanted together. Rev. Leslie Runnels performed the ceremony, with help from Membership Co-chairs Penny Hooper and Martha Kenworthy. All the new members received a gift bag containing a handmade (by member, Pat Curley) wooden ornament with our UU flaming chalice, and Unitarian Coastal Fellowship embossed on it, other UU information, plus a chocolate bar just to sweeten the bag a little more!
The celebration was continued during Coffee Hour with a sheet cake decorated with “Welcome New Members” and many happy interactions between people as we widened the family circle of UCF.
