On June 14th, members of UCF joined hundreds of people at the Courthouse in Beaufort, along with millions around the world, at a rally to protest the policies of the current administration and to declare that there are “No Kings” in the USA.
The UCF choir and St. Paul’s Episcopal choir, thanks to Karen Baggott, led those at the rally in singing several freedom songs, including Woody Guthrie’s “All You Fascists Bound to Lose”. It poured rain for most of the event but the vast majority of people stayed and listened to some excellent speakers, including a 99-year-old WWII Vet who warned us that what’s happening here is similar to what happened in Germany in the 1930s.
After the rally, hundreds lined up on Turner Street with their signs to spread awareness of what is happening in our country.
