Members of the Social Justice Committee participated in Crystal Coast Proud’s “Family Pride in the Park” event on Saturday, June 25th at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Morehead City. The event was very well attended — many families with children of all ages enjoyed the great food, face painting, snow cones, and cotton candy.
UCF had one of four tables at the event and we gave out brochures about our church and Unitarian Universalism, Progress flags, rainbow lollipops, and rainbow wrist leis. The kids and their families really enjoyed these “freebies”.
We had a great time! – what a terrific way to wrap up Pride Month!
